| Platelets play a crucial role in physiological processes such as tissue remodeling, wound healing, and maintaining vascular integrity. Platelets are also associated with the occurrence and development of malignant tumors. Tumor-related inflammatory factors can induce abnormal elevation of platelet counts, which not only facilitate the formation of new blood vessels in tumors but also enhance the invasiveness and metastasis of tumors. Elevated platelet counts can suppress the body"s anti-tumor immune response and promote tumor cell resistance to chemotherapy, thereby accelerating disease progression. Thrombocytosis often indicates a higher tumor burden and a poorer prognosis, and may become an important marker for evaluating the prognosis of gynecological tumor patients. Targeting platelets as a potential adjuvant treatment for gynecological malignancies is an urgent need for further scientific research and clinical trials to verify its effectiveness. |
