| Objective To investigate the epidemiological trends of lung cancer among registered residents in Yinchuan City from 2010 to 2022, and to provide scientific evidence for formulating lung cancer prevention and control strategies. Methods Joinpoint software was used to calculate the Annual Percent Change (APC) and analyze the temporal trend of lung cancer mortality. Subgroup analysis was conducted by gender and age. Results The average annual crude mortality rate of lung cancer among registered residents in Yinchuan from 2010 to 2022 was 26.05 per 100,000, and the age-standardized mortality rate was 25.30 per 100,000. Both rates showed a significant increasing trend, with the average annual percentage changes (AAPC) of 16.22% (crude rate) and 14.34% (standardized rate), respectively (both P5). Gender difference analysis showed that the crude mortality rate and standardized mortality rate of males were 1.97 times and 1.98 times those of females, respectively, and both genders showed an increasing trend in mortality (both P5). Age-stratified analysis indicated that lung cancer mortality increased gradually with age after 45 years old, reaching a peak in the group over 75 years old with a crude mortality rate of 346.81 per 100,000. Segmented trend analysis showed that the crude mortality rate of the total population increased rapidly from 2010 to 2018 (APC=23.88%, P<0.05), and the increasing trend slowed down from 2018 to 2022 (APC=2.29%, P>0.05); the standardized mortality rate increased from 2010 to 2018 (APC=27.12%, P<0.05) and turned to decrease from 2018 to 2022 (APC=-7.49%, P). Conclusion The mortality rate of lung cancer among registered residents in Yinchuan showed an overall increasing trend from 2010 to 2022. Males and middle-aged and elderly people over 45 years old are high-risk groups. It is necessary to carry out targeted health education, lifestyle interventions and early screening to reduce the disease burden of lung cancer. |
