| Abstract： Organoids are the three-dimensional structure composed of various types of stem cells through self-organization, which can mimic the in vivo structure and function of normal or diseased tissues. Organoids have become one of the important breakthroughs in the field of biological sciences in the past decade. The tumor organoids, as a reliable and stable in vitro tumor model, can capture the structural and mutational features of human tumors. Tremendous progresses have been made in the establishment and analysis of tumor organoids recently. This article reviews the recent research progress in the establishment of tumor organoids and discusses their potential application in the development of anti-tumor drugs and in precision therapy of tumors. |
