| Cancer has become a major problem that restricts the improvement of public health and hinders the high-quality socioeconomic development. Hunan Province attaches great importance to the prevention and control of chronic diseases, including cancer, and launched the “Healthy Hunan” special action on cancer prevention and treatment in 2019. This article reviews the progress of cancer prevention and control efforts in Hunan Province from 2019 to 2025 in terms of system development, workforce training, cancer screening, cancer registration, public education, and standardized diagnosis and treatment. It also discusses the priorities for the next stage of cancer prevention and control work in Hunan Province. |
