| Abstract: Objective To analyze the change of disease burden, and provide reference for policy formulation and measures with the incidence and death data of colorectal cancer(CRC) in Sichuan Province from 2013 to 2020. Methods Using the data of 14 counties and districts in Sichuan Province from 2013 to 2020, the morbidity, mortality and their standardized rates were calculated by SAS 9.4, and the YLL and AYLL were calculated by EXCEL. Joinpoint4.9.1.0 was used to calculate Annual Percentage Change (APC) and corresponding t and P values of each index from 2013 to 2020. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results From 2013 to 2020, the population aged 20-49 years decreased, and the population aged 65 years and above increased. The crude morbidity rate increased from 26.55/105to 38.21/105 (APC=4.76, P < 0.001), and there was no significant difference in standardized incidence. The crude mortality rate increased from 12.52/105 to 23.45/105 (APC=7.67, P < 0.001), and the standardized mortality rate of male increased from 9.87/105 to 14.8/105 (APC=4.15, P=0.017). The years of life lost (YLL) increased from 16328 man years to 24600 man years (APC=5.59, P < 0.001), and the average years of life lost (AYLL) decreased from 25.18 years to 20.82 years in rural areas (APC=-2.23, P=0.011), the other changes were not statistically significant. Conclusion From the changes of population, incidence, death and disease burden of CRC in Sichuan Province from 2013 to 2020, the population of Sichuan Province is aging, and the disease burden of colorectal cancer is increasing, and it is necessary to focus on males and rural areas. |
