Cancer is one of the major public health problems affecting the health of residents in Jiangsu Province. Obtaining high-quality cancer registration is fundamental task for cancer prevention and control in the population. This paper reviews the 50-year development process of the establishment and refinement of the cancer registration system in Jiangsu Province. It systematically summarizes the experience from administrative promotion, operational network construction, quality control, and information-based management that enabled Jiangsu's cancer surveillance data to be included in Cancer Incidence in Five Continents (CI5). Prospects for future development are also discussed. |
