Abstract Objective To analyze the incidence and death of pancreatic cancer in 2020 and the change trend from 2010 to 2020 in tumor registration areas of Gansu Province. Methods The crude incidence rate, standardized incidence rate and cumulative rate of pancreatic cancer aged 0-74 years were calculated by sorting out the data of pancreatic cancer in the tumor registration areas of Gansu Province from 2010 to 2020. Joinpoint 4.7.0 software was used to calculate the annual percentage change (APC) in the successful rate of pancreatic cancer in the tumor registry area of Gansu Province from 2010 to 2020. Results In 2020, a total of 838 cases of pancreatic cancer were reported in the tumor registration areas of Gansu Province, with a coarse incidence rate of 652/100 000, the bid-winning incidence rate and the world-standard incidence rate were 403/100 000 and 4.49/100 000 respectively, accounting for 2.50% of the total incidence of all malignant tumors. In 2020, 702 cases of pancreatic cancer deaths were reported in the tumor registration areas of Gansu Province, with the crude mortality rate of 5.46/100,000, the bid mortality rate and the world standard mortality rate of 3.25/100,000 and 3.73/100,000, respectively, accounting for 3.98% of the total deaths of all malignant tumors. From 2010 to 2020, a total of 2413 cases of pancreatic cancer were reported in tumor registration areas in Gansu province, accounting for 1.90% of all malignant tumors in Gansu Province. The crude incidence of pancreatic cancer was 5.28/100 000, the bid incidence was 4.18/100 000, the world standard incidence was 4.63/100 000, and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old was 0.49%. From 2010 to 2020, a total of 1871 pancreatic cancer deaths were reported in the tumor registration areas of Gansu Province, accounting for 2.38% of all malignant tumors in Gansu province. The crude mortality rate of pancreatic cancer was 3.92/ 100 000, the bid mortality rate was 309/100 000, the world standard mortality rate was 3.50/ 100 000, and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old was 0.36%. From 2010 to 2020, the incidence and mortality of pancreatic cancer in the tumor registration areas of Gansu showed a low level under the age of 44, and a significant upward trend at the age of 45. From the data of winning bid rate, the incidence of pancreatic cancer in Gansu Province showed an increasing trend from 2010 to 2020, and the APC was 0.411%, with no statistical significance in the change trend (P > 0.05). From 2010 to 2020, the mortality rate of pancreatic cancer in Gansu Province also showed an increasing trend, and the APC was 6.515%, with statistical significance (P=0.014 < 0.05). Conclusion The prevention and control situation of pancreatic cancer in Gansu Province is serious. From 2010 to 2020, the incidence and mortality of pancreatic cancer in Gansu Province show an increasing trend year by year. The incidence and mortality are higher in males than females and higher in rural areas than in urban areas. |
